Pulled, cleaned, and painted some of the bolts holding the body together. The lady wanted to help, so I had her pull off the headlight surrounds, I polished them, she cleaned them, and put them back on. I had a few too many beers by the end of this all, but still wanted to go for a ride. She was sober, but really didn't want to drive the car, but I talked her into taking me "around the block". She liked it so much I didn't get back home for a half an hour.

Nice she matched her finger nail polish to the color of the car. ;)

She probably didn't know about the old school one finger power steering, most women under 40 never drove a car with the OSPS and when they find out how easy it is good luck being the driver again when you're with her.:D

Yep, I noticed that too while I was trying to be a good passenger :).... yeah she really enjoyed driving it. Don't think I'll have to beg her too bad to get behind the wheel again..... Kirt, my thumbs definitely aren't my best feature :) Too many smashes throughout the years and now they're a permanent topographical map of the Andes Mountains...

So the hidden antenna is FM then? Have any feedback on how well it works?
I have thought about putting a power antenna in the center of my car's 'tulip panel', set at a rakish angle, but I don't think I have the depth below it for one.
Cadillac had factory dual rear speakers, or were those holes cut in afterward? I think our cars have the same package shelf panel- here's where I cut my 6x9s out :

Yes hidden antenna does am/FM and whatever else they do nowadays (I don't know all the fancy stuff which is why I need a CD player for when I'm out of range hahaha). I had a different one in my Riv and it worked much better then this one. I'll try to remember what kind that was, it was much smaller then this too but I got this local. Yes the stereo shop is a necessary business haha..... You could get stereo or mono in the Cadillacs. Mine is a mono, and someone had cut out the other spots previously.

Here's a link to the one I had in Riv, Mark. Much smaller and I got radio stations from 60 miles away with it on the firewall.
