I dont know or never looked up with holes 3 and 4 feed. They are in the same circuit as the hole next to them.

I was just showed by an old time tranny guy and it works so I never questioned

Oh ok, I guess I should do it too, but I sort of feel like a lemming just following the herd.

I know I'm sure there are charts out there that show what each passage do. I believe there was check all previously in those areas, so the larger hole is just letting fluid move faster to or from

I just want to confirm a few things on the mods in your very first post in this thread.

    Mods
    1. Basically just removing the spring and reassembling, correct?
    2. Same as above, just removing the spring?
    4. Just curious, what does this do for you?
    5. Out of the factory 6 check balls, only 3 get put back?

The 1st section where I remove the spring under the accumulator piston in the valve body. This will basically deactivate the accumulator that cushions the apply for 2-3 shift. If you want to firm it up even more you can put a plug into the feed hole of the valve body, but for most street trans are fine with just a spring removal......see pic.

In the second it's the 1-2 accumulator......this speeds up and firms up thst shift.

I only install the balls I indicated
