2 trans rebuilds, still no 1-2 manual up shift at wot. average to moderate throttle 1-2 , 2-3 no problem, in manual or automatic. I looked and talked to every shop , person, tci,huges etc,etc,. no real answer. 462 390 gears 275 drag radials, moderate hyd cam. any help would be great.
Unless it is a full manual valve body, the WOT shift points get determined by the valve body calibration and governor. If they do not agree with your manual shift, it won't happen. Leave it in DRIVE and see what RPM it upshifts at WOT.
i found it, I installed a stock one and it worked, the valve in the governor was stuck. i switched the weights and springs over from the old one, and same thing.ou: I took that one out and valve was stuck. I noticed that on top off the weights, the tabs that move the valve where not even. it was a b@m kit. I ground the originals and switched the springs, all good now.:3gears:
