Tapping into 12v for gauges??

I’m water temp and oil press. gauges in my 65 skylark. Where can I tap into to get 12v switched power and 12v light source.

 

Should be a switched 12v source in the fuse block. I've got the HEI on my El Camino plugged into one. Works great. The lights should be tapped into the 'instrument lights' location.

 

Two radio feed wires. One for 12VDC and the other dimmable for night lights.

 

Radio leads work well, I second that.

 

For your gauge lights tap into the original dash lights. Should be a grey wire.
