Has anyone else noticed the two different styles of front upper arms they are offering? I emailed the first one and the guy replied:

Here is what I'm talking about:

Anyone have any input on this? The ones that I see UMI selling for the 68-72 look like the second ones, but I see people say that those are the early style arms?

Though the design looks different, the geometry looks similar. The first arm appears to be more radically designed though achieves similar mounting points. The second arm is sold by the same seller I bought the full upper and lower set from a years ago and looks like what I run on my car today with a Proforged tall ball joint. No issues so far and I don't expect any.

Did the Proforged ball joints bolt right in without any messing around? What springs are you running? I guess I should also ask what size motor and rims/wheel height as well so I can compare to what I have. Thanks for all the info so far.

The Proforged uppers looked like factory ball joints until you held them up side by side. Really beefy unit with a taller ball nut.

I'm running a 1970 Stage 1 car with the replacement factory Stage 1 455 springs front and rear. I have had Buick 15x7 wheels all around but currently have Wheel Vintique 15x7 on disc brakes up front with 245R60-15 and no rubbing in or out and 15x8 out back with 275R60-15 out back on disc brakes and no rubbing.

Maybe this picture will work. Taken this June: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...=a.77734484519.73208.633474519&type=3&theater

Wow, it has a decent stance even with the stock replacement stuff. Usually it seems like they are dragging their butt a little (like mine). I think I might have too stiff of springs in the front, but I re-used what was in there and should have replaced them when I did the front suspension. Oh well, I can change them out when I replace the upper arms. I plan on sticking with the small block though. Thanks for the info and photos. :TU:

You can buy spacers for the rear coils through summit racing, jegs etc if you want to lift the back end a bit. Rear springs are cheap too, get the HD ones usually add some height as well. Just a thought.
