TA Motor Mount Bolt Holes. Which ones to use?

    Hi guys,

I haven't been doing as much with the 67 GS lately or visiting V8Buick as I have been painting my house. Now that is done and I am back!

I just removed my cast iron frame pads and am ready to install the TA aluminum frame pads and mounts on the engine.

I plan to install full length headers. Which set of bolt holes will work best? I am guessing the holes that move the engine up higher for the frame pads (looking at the pad as installed, that would be the front set of holes).

For the motor mounts, I am guessing the bottom holes so the engine is raised up a bit?

I want to use my Star Wars air cleaner as well with a QJ on a B4B. Will I still have enough hood clearance?

Thanks for any advice. I hope I have made myself clear.

Ed, the engine mounts and frame pads will only fit together with one set of engine mount holes. The mount sits on the pads, not the bolts.

The frame pads give greater header clearance by moving the motor rearward slightly, when you use the set of holes closer to the radiator support.

Thanks Jim. That helps me out.
