Replacing sway bar my 68 Skylark Base came with. It’s thick and hangs too low for my taste. Asthetically un pleasing.
Any suggestions on 7/8 or 1 inch? Much difference ?

If you're talking the front bar, I replaced my stocker with a 1-1/4" (I think, it could be a 1-1/8", I've slept since then....) and it made a big difference. Added a 1" rear bar over the winter, but haven't driven tye car yet to feel the difference. I've been in other folks a-bodies that added a rear sway bar, and the difference before to after was pretty dramatic then as well. Just something to think about.

I’ve got a front and rear already but wondering if diameter made much diff?

As the infamous 90's Pontiac slogan went, "E Aho Laula" (wider is better). Will upgrading from a 7/8" to 1" be as dramatic an improvement as going to a 1-1/4"? Probably not (well, no probably about it, no it won't), but every little bit helps.

sway bars are levers and they need to be matched..for optimum performance, the shocks and springs are considered important too..good tires round it out

a second gen T/A front bar is 1 1/4 with a stock 7/8 rear its a tried and true combination..the T/A bar is a bolt in...it will rid the car of that floating "boaty" type feel...ive put prob a 100 on skylarks and lemans' it is always one of the first mods i make..it works well
