Thank you guys. I am one to keep cars original and stock but like my name, I respect and do my best to preserve originality. The next generation (in their 20's), just don't have the appreciation or desire to go after the 50's-70's cars. Around here they are more into the modern foreign cars and drifting. I get it but it is disappointing. I really have enjoyed the past 2 days on here. I belong to several studebaker clubs and Honda valkyie club and I find many similar qualities in this group. You guys love and admire these buicks and I can appreciate that and I hope to meet some of you in the future.

And my dad has a '51 Studebaker Champion (Bulletnose). I learned how to drive at 10yrs old on a '53 Chevy truck. FWIW.

Wow! I'm nicely jealous....what a find! That would be a $35-$40,000 car all day long here in Australia, no kidding. My 68 Wildcat hardtop was rough as hell and still cost me three times what you paid for that minter drop-top. :Dou:

    Welcome!

Wow, I just saw this...good score!

Yes, yours is the Wildcat Custom, the Interior is the custom trim, as are the pin stripes. Love that yours has buckets and A/C, mine has a bench and no A/C. Do me a favor please, if that's factory paint, can you measure the thickness and the distance between the stripes please? Repainting the pinstripes is the last thing that needs to be done with my Cat. As for the nylon timing gear; - mine is still in the car. I guess I got lucky, because the car did a 2000 mile trip at highway speeds last fall.

By the way; - cool Studebakers, those are just never seen anymore. Wonder how one stacks up against the Cat; - it was a smaller and lighter car than the Wildcat...

Hi Joe, I have just joined and am writing from my home in Christchurch New Zealand. I have been a classic car and MOPAR guy most of my life but I saw a rusty Ivory 1967 Wildcat convertible for sale here that had never been put on the road since it left New Jersey and it's first owner many years ago.
I have completed all the rust repairs and tidied up the body to an road worthy standard. It is the same ivory colour but with a white interior. The roof is tan and torn but I have bought a new one from the US in maroon. They ivory and maroon should look good together. The 430 is really smooth and the auto works well. Because it has to be complied for the road here I have to throw away all the brakes and replace them with new as well as swap out the headlights so that they dip the right way for New Zealand. So now you have a lookalike on the other side of the world that should soon be back on the road. Your Buick looks amazing and the condition is to be envied. I'll post some pics when I'm finished (INCLUDING FITTING THE NEW ROOF). The only missing parts on the whole car is the left side rear marker lamp with the Buick emblem on it and all the Wildcat badges.

The rear marker light was an old Buick oval shaped light that had just been added on. One only!! so now it's gone and the holes repaired.
The final missing pieces are the Wildcat letters for the sides and trunk and a rear trunk 3 shield badge. It is going to certification in 2 weeks and then she'll be on the road again for the first time since 1991.
If anyone has any of the pieces I still have missing would you let me know if your happy to sell them?
I have an address in Texas, so you would not have to post them overseas. Kind regards
