stumble just off idle

    1971 skylark 350 2 all stock just started today to miss at idle at stop light it seems to load up after you sit there for a few seconds clears out after you get going could it be just bad gas it has new fuel and air filter new plugs cap rotor all done 2 months ago

    Make sure your float/needle and seat is good, and I would se if the power piston is not stuck. Good luck..

    checked out everything seems good now it just idles ruff no hesitation or miss when taking off just idles ruff must be getting closer

    check mixture and for vaccum leaks, also sticking egr if it haz one

    no vacuum leaks have been adjusting the carb screws get it to idle smooth but give it gas and it starts to stumble move screws back ruff idle but smooth when give it gas wonder if its a valve or maybe bad gas

    did you mess with the points at all? Just trying to think about all that was changed 2 months ago, you did cap and rotor, did you also do points? And is the dwell set correctly for around 30?

    no haven't touch the points it just started all of a sudden been running fine then 2 days ago started missing out of the blue

    I have electronic ignition to install just haven't got the chance yet but points plugs wires cap and rotor are all new few months ago

    took drivers side valve cover off somebody changed one of the aluminum exhaust rockers with a steel stamped one could this be my problem
