what is it after you sat for five minutes talking to a friend then you give it the gas and it stumbles, what is it? Too rich too lean not enough air too much air. It only does it after sitting for a minute or two

Is the engine running for those 5 minutes, or is it off?

Plug fouling if it is running. That's what comes to mind for me

    It’s running, I’m running e3 spark plugs

You wasted good money on those plugs?:) Pretty good way to shroud the spark with 3 ground electrodes. While I doubt that is your problem, I have seen stranger things. Off idle stumble is usually lean. Maybe weak accelerator pump.

I think the question is now whether it does it all the time, instead of just while idling for extended periods of time.

No those e3 plugs are good for my vehicle, I tried the other plugs and the e3s run the the best in my car. I’m running street demon carburetor, so I adjusted the air flap and now I’m going to test that and see if that fails I’m gonna adjust the accelerator pump linkage

I think those plugs are a gimmick. I would never use them. There are a lot of different Street Demon carburetors. You need to be more specific. Have you checked engine vacuum? You may have a leak. There are a lot of things that can cause a stumble. One symptom does not mean one cause.

No vacuum leaks and the stumble isn't that often. I’m leaning towards a MSD EFI kit to eliminate all this guess work, but when it’s running good it’s great

Lots of troubles have been traced back to those plugs. Ditch them for a set of delcos. If there was anything to gain from those or the split fire plugs from 15 yrs ago the oem would be using them. It's a gimmick.

I bet your running rich at an idle. It loads up and pops on you. Adjust the screws.

I bet most have no idea what you are talking about. Which Street demon carburetor do you have? What flap?

Looks like they have an adjustable air valve secondary, like a Q-jet, or Carter AVS. That would be under hard acceleration, not off idle stumble?

Has air valve secondary, just like a Q-jet. Again, not sure how that would affect an off idle stumble, unless you are punching it from a dead stop or low speed.

I call it a flap but it’s the secondary air valve. So I adjust the valve to open easier and it seemed to have worked

Well, that's good, but not sure why that would work.

And yes I do punch it after idling. But now it just hauls but

I don’t know either but I’m glad it works. I’m still going to install the MSD atomic efi. I like to have this carburetor working just in case the efi doesn’t work out
