Seems like the guy on the right of that picture keeps winning with me on this car....haha

I genuinely considered hunting down a vgate but decided to stick the the traditional shifter. If this car was going full racecar mode, I'd do it in a heartbeat along with Jeff's clutchless shift Muncie option (man that'd be BA...)

And between this and the pile of other parts I've bought in the last week, all the president's I had in my pocket have been replaced with pocket lint and little more.

    (Worth it!)

Anyway, don't wanna steal your thread, just thought I'd share given the conversation we had recently. I look forward to sharing notes!

Nice! Need a Vgate to trim that out?

What gearing did you go with?

I went with Jeff's recommendation on gearing, 2.99, 1.88, 1.35, 1:1. I've got a brand new Hurst comp plus and linkage ready to. Probably won't get around to installing it for a few weeks though.

Nice, same gearing I went with. I'm aiming for Friday June 1st to get to the track....

You should be quite pleased with the choice!

I can attest from the shake down drives I have done so far, it’s a vast improvement for mine rear 3.70 geared QP 9” to get out of first gear at or before 60’. I still have my seats out doing new upholstery but once all back together will be hitting the track. Stay tuned and cheers!
