    Street Outlaws TV show

hasn't that show gone on long enough that a Buick crew is needed to shut them down and end the drama.

Just sayin, can we get some fast street Buick's to step it up?

Unfortunately there isnt a buick in the land that could run with them boys....on the street. I know its a show but those guys are real and so is some of what goes on. The top 5 are all 4sec cars, with the bottom half being mid 5sec. All but maybe Rod and Bobb would get embarrassed ha them boys are legit. There was a thread on the Bullet bout them while back few guys took some 1000hp cars out there and they got chewed up spit out. Doc's Engine is a beast , Fulton is like a mad Scientist his shop his 20min from mine he just built a gasser for him to run and the other guys changed the rules just to eliminate him...the engine he built for it was a 4xx small block that made 986 hp

I dig the show.....But its not "Street Racing"....Where I come from street racing is on D.O.T approved tires, completely street legal cars that were driven there. The ones on the show are 100% strip cars, on slicks and trailers.

I had some friends and acquaintances that were on the season opener show. I got some of the "inside scoop" on this show. These guys are for real..... or at least their cars are! It's reported that Murder Nova has around 2400 HP. With that kind of power you could do some damage..... spinning tires or not!

Keep an eye out for a Buick appearance sometime in spring, near the end of the shows season. It may not set the place on fire but you never know! An 8 second car that hooks well could beat one of these tire frying monsters that spins too much or gets out of control!!

I like the show to a point, but it's the same as all these car/build shows......when season 2 or 3 rolls around they try to keep your attention by adding tons of drama. It doesn't work for me. When too much drama appears I turn the channel! Guess there's only so much actual racing/car building they can show before they run out of things to show or talk about.

They are basically outlaw 10.5 setups on big tires with the exception of a few grudge cars like Derek, Andrade etc, Bad thing is there are X275 cars that would dot their eye and take their lunch money,.,,,on a 275 radial with less cubes

I agree on the Drama it's everywhere, just like the females on the sidelines at the football games. After the game they are more about how somebody feels, than they are about the game. Disgusting

I just had a conversation with the wife while watching the show the other night. There was some bickering going on and she made the comment "Im surprised you like this show, you hate drama". I just told her its my "guilty pleasure" show. I really do enjoy the cars, some wicked pieces for sure. Yeah, some of its surely staged, some not, but its fun to watch them run cars with that much power on minimally prepped tarmac. I too have heard some info from people that know them that those guys are legit, I believe it. Plus the farm truck guy and his little goofball sidekick crack me up.

I love watching racing, but I'm not a fan of NASCAR or the NHRA because of all the limitations, it ruins the real spirit of racing....Run what ya brung! That's why I like this, but again its not reality, they stage the whole thing, just look at the lighting set-ups and closed down roads, I wish they would get into the builds and the cars more than the drama.

Farm Truck dog Louise is the star. Reminds me of my dog Brandy (Australian cattle dog) that passed a few yrs ago. I bet she would have liked to go down the track with me.

Farm truck and AZN are the best part of the show.

You see that Sonoma carry that front tire about 100 feet? On the street???

Def Not real street racing when slicks, trailers, and sticky solution is being used!!

But the most ridculos thing so far was the Chicago guys "prepped" the entire lenght of their lane in which They said that it was their lane for the entire night Lol!!!! Street racing My a$$!!!!

But whatever, all the car shows on TV are bogus like OverHaulin and the like. All a bunch of crap. Especially when Foose puts small block chevy engines in almost every brand he "builds" what a joke.

The retired officer in the article is right. It teaches the youngsters that it is ok to race on the street.

it wouldn't make the show anyway, I know a lot of the racers from Chicago and the "show" has been here 3 times total and the they're asses handed to the both time before, the last time was the only time the won enough race to make a show out of it

I can't find the pictures, but we ended up running heads up against the "gold car" fox body mustang that was number 10 on their list last season. Tyler was driving our red car in real street trim, DOT tires and all. Very close, but we lost by a fender. We were at the track, but I told the guy before the race, let's drive over to the Sonic and get some food, but oh wait, your not really street legal are you!!! He just turned around. Got to see the farm truck run with the dog. Pretty funny.

Fun show to watch, minus the drama part. It does remind me of the 70's when we had our track on a county road and did the same top 10. No betting though, didn't have the cash, and no 6 second cars then.

    Just a couple of Items.
1)Carl Rossler doesn't think it's funny cashing the Checks for some of those Transmissions.
2)As to the Trailer in & Run, that has been going on for Years. I can remember the Street Racing in Philly, back in the early 70s & have to admit I was impressed with the fact that a car could complete a run, and roll right to the Tow bar, and get connected & Gone long before the PD could come close. (under 2 minutes)
I also know "Stormin' Norman" with the Fox Mustang & a Few of the Buick Guys out of Chicago, would trailer in to some of the Street Races around the country. 1 in particular, was a GN, that made 1 Pass after Norwalk some years ago, and was asked to Please Not bring the car back, until it had the Safety Equipment & Certifications to run the 8.5 pass it made. :Dou:

I have been on Midwest Street Cars site for several years. Got to know some of the guys. I have been out there and have been to some of the "late night activities". I have stayed at and been to their homes. Shawn Ellington (Murder Nova) has a chassis dyno in his home shop. He also has a sweet red/black '55 Chevy. I was at Justin Shearer's (Chief) home shop. Met a lot of the guys both on and off show. I rode on Shawn's Farmtruck. I introduced Mike Wood (Nitrous Express) to my boss, Dave, (Visner Engine Development) at PRI. We are building an intake for Doc. So I know these guys as friends. They are a lot of fun to hang with. That said, what goes on with the show is not actually how it really goes down. It's a lot more "get it done and leave". I have been to the track and on the street with these guys and they are very fast. There are also mostly "normal" cars like ours out there (10s--13s). The show is dramatized to gain a larger audience.
