So today I received an email from Bob Schroeder who now owns the Blue GSX Vin 434371H192739. He wants to talk to me about his new car and have me fill in what I know about it. He asked about the original motor and trans and if indeed I have them. To the disbelievers this should clear up any questions. I need to contact Bob and get a contact number or have him call me on my cell at 570-295-7117
We have spoken for awhile and he is making plans to come from Indy to central Pa to pick up the matching components tomorrow..He seems very thrilled and happy!
Yes also to join several GS pages on Facebook as well.. He still can't believe someone would do this for free..lol He will come to reality in a few hours when we load the parts in his vehicle!
The Seller I was referring to was the GSX Seller (now prior Owner of the '71 GSX). I thought it may have been previously presented as a 455 car. I was curious what the prior sales prices was if it was at auction. Regarding your involvement .... congrats. You have single-handedly and generously helped preserve an important car in Buick history that's not even yours. Cheers.
But...I was ever so close a long time ago!!! I would hope we all could do these things to help others. I had nothing in it except the time I had in keeping it and storing it for 25 years. What ever made me keep that transmission and not toss it out with the 10 others is beyond me..I just got a big old grin on my face when I seen they were the numbers I needed.
He should be here in the next hour He asked me if I wanted him to slow down because he knew I had my grand daughters earlier.I told him he would be ok as they left for home. I can imagine how excited he is about now...hahaha Now,if someone had a set of Stage 2 steel heads that would be the same for me...lol
