I now have an old unit but without the instructions. A verbal description of which color connects where will help. Anyone have an old set of instructions or a unit in use from which you can retrieve the color code for hook-up?

    Thanks to Adam and Larry

Have either of you tried to use a Pertronix distributor pick-up to trigger the Stinger?

No for me on the pertronix. 3 bodies and 1 engine later, my Stinger is as it was when I first installed it and still working great.

Are both the green and yellow wires in use on your stinger which I presume still has the original Stinger pick up in your distributor.

    Jim,
I have the original Stinger setup, yes both the green and yellow are connected. My information is that green is + and yellow -. On the old GSCA BB, Charlie Evans talked about using the Stinger distributor to fire an MSD box. I printed that out thinking I might want to do that one day if my Stinger box ever took a dump:rolleyes: All you need to do is purchase MSD part #8824 (2-pin connector), and that plugs into the MSD box. That's probably more than you wanted to know:cool: I guess you could do the same with a Pertronix. Hope that helps. BTW, I mailed out a copy of the Stinger original paperwork to you today.
