    Hi all,
Looking for how to source this round cross section retainer clip for a 1969 GS turn signal switch replacement. It seems to be a simple round wire piece, maybe 1/2 diameter?

    Thanks for any help,
    Mike

I'd be looking for a Treasure-yard steering column to swipe one from.

I'm sure the wire locks are available separately...but I don't know where.

Thanks Guys. I'm going to check NAPA first. I hate The Part Place.

I bet it's still available thru gm if the parts guy cares enough to dig

I've been working on GM cars since the 60's, and taken a LOT of columns apart. I know it says to replace that part in the CSM. Don't tell anybody...I've never, ever, replaced one of those rings. You just tweak them back to shape, and make sure they are installed in the groove, they're not going anywhere after installation.

I'd like a new one this time. I have removed and replaced many many times already and it looking like it. :(

The latest GM part number is 5694191 for those playing at home. The picture make it hard to see the split, but its there.
