I'm sure that it's just a typo, but that would be a 4.75" bolt pattern. We don't want to confuse any members that might still be learning.
At this point, the easiest place to find 4 3/4 inch bolt pattern fifteen inch wheels would be 77 - 90 B cars without fleet suspension. Not much in the yards now, even down here.
Another option for you...……… if you're only after the look and not 100% factory correct, you can find a used set of Weld DragLite wheels, my adapters and caps. For what you'll pay for new steel wheels this can be a cost savings or at least an alternative. You can paint the wheels what ever color you choose, same as the steel ones, but the big advantage is using light weight wheels vs. the heavy steel versions. Just an option for you to think about of you're not worried about being OEM "correct".
Thanks for the ideas. I am strictly only going for the look. I just love that look on our classics. I will look around. Thank you all for your input and help!! Bill
Hi. Have to jump in here. I have a set of (5) 15x7 steel wheels 5 on 4.750 in very nice, unrestored shape. They are coded "JJ". Anyway, these are parts of my 'WUZ GUNNA' inventory syndrome. For prolly 20+ years, I "WUZ GUNNA" puttum on this car or that car or perhaps. . .... well, most of you know how that goes. BEST PART IS... they have very decent factory Buick DOG DISH hubcaps mounted on them! Ya. kinda thot that might get your attention. I will try to dig them out of my dusty, grundgy, spider-web infested overstocked storage rafters and snap pix if you are interested. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Here are a few OLDER file pix that only show 4, but some years ago I stumbled upon another, so there are 5 wheels total. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
OKso, I finally made it thru a buncha toe-kik'n, shin scrap'n plastic bins stacked on the floor of my storage unit...ARRarrrarGgggh. . .just to "get to" these "steelies". DESCRIPTION OF WHEELS set of (5): 15x7, GM pattern 5 on 4 3/4, standard backset (4 1/4?) the wheels are solid, straight, no dingages or curb rash, and are really nice enuf to scuff up and paint whatever color your car is. DESCRIPTION OF DOG DISH CAPS (4); are N E A R L Y AS PERFECT as NOS! However, they are used but way WAAAAYYY more better'n than driver..THESE SHOULD BE considered SHOW quality! Yes, S H O W quality. I am offer'n these up AS A PACKAGE DEAL to Bills68GS FIRST, as he posted the need. Take a look and get back to me SOON Bill!..as I am certain the line will soon form here! Wheelz, Tampa Bay
second in line after OP, eehhmm for the dog dishes alone, not sure if that was your intention. Did you indicate a pricing?
Patrick and everyone else, ThanX for inquiring! Bill68GS has asked for a SET of 15x7 steelie rims WITH Dog Dish hubcaps. SO I am offering him these WHEELS & HUBCAPS as a package. I will allow him time to reply. We will see where it goes from there. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
hmmm. . . Apparently BILLS68GS is NOT as interested as he says.... So, I will very soon post this set on PARTS FOR SALE with description and pricing. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
So sorry for the delay in responding. Ive had some personal issues i needed to take care of. I will have to pass at this time. I had all the intentions of moving forward with this package as it was exactly what i was looking for! Nice set and thanks again WHEELZ and everyone who had input to helping me with this. Guys in this group are hands down the best.... Bill
