You can modify a 67 big car/HD air cleaner base to work like from a Riv, Wildcat, Lesabre or Electra. I'm currently doing one myself. I got the info from this site. They are a 2 piece base spot welded together you just have to drill the welds out and modify to suit. There's a guy parting out a 67 Wildcat on "Car Part-outs" right now jump over and ask if he still has the air cleaner base? Best of luck to you, Cheers!

I saw one within the last 24 hours but it was real rusty, I can't remember where, either here, facebook or Ebay. If I find it I'll let you know.

I wish you the best of luck on finding an original base on it's own they're usually pretty pricey and they go fast!! It took me a year to piece everything together and it took buying a whole other set to do it lol. Then after I got the second set just for the base a member on here contacted me with a 67 Riv HD base so I bought that to modify and put the base back with the other set.

Ken,I really don't know what the price is fair for this part.I did see Bill Lagna was selling the all air cleaner for a lot of money.Bruno.

Hi Bruno, what is that base from? It does not look like an original star wars base. It looks alot like the one I bought to modify on the left in my pic and the original on the right.

I don't remember who I got it from,at that time he did tell me that it might be a base for a 67 star wars base, but I did not know what it was.It did look like the star wars base, but like you say,its a little different. My first new car was a 67,but unfortunately it was only a Skylark,so no comparison.Maybe someone will need it and modified it.Bruno.

I posted some measurements and some tips in my thread "how to make a star wars base" in the wrenching secrets section. You can take some measurements of the one you have and compare it.

This is the one from Michael Garrison and it's not too bad for being 51 years old and you don't see it anyway. Now my star wars air cleaner is complete just need to paint it and put the Buick bling on it

Nice! Hit it with a wire wheel and some paint and you're stylin'
