    I went from 12.55 at 106 mph to 12.20 at 109 with a 430 in a 3820lb car back in the 90s.

The only two changes were going from a standard valve size to Stage 1 size in the same unported heads.

And Felpro .040-ish thick head gaskets to steel .020

SP 235 Lunati from Torque Tech. It was .492 on both lifts and 235/245 @ .050

Good information as always from the Wizard. I am trying to get my hands on a couple of Stage 1 valves ( SI no stock and no joy from TA two emails & a phone call later ) to 'reclaim ' the seats in my small port 430 heads to see if they are viable.
I measured the runner's and have found the 'pinch ' is @ the headbolt, I am curious as to how often porters sleeve these bolt holes - I see TA sells tubing for this

I have used these valves from falcon in about 10 sets of heads over the years, never had an issue yet and have held up well. Not as nice as TAa but get the job done and they can be on their way after the holiday

    600 - 271
Note my cam is a KB C118 - the lift is nothing crazy, maybe under .500

Those numbers are really close to numbers I have in my old file on the computer comparing these first heads to a set of head that PAE did. The flow sheet I was supplied from guy I bought them off of in PA that had them done his sheet showed they were going 320 on the intake.....I gained nothing with those heads over these, so next time refreshe'd the motor I had they flowed and they were within 3% all the way across, I'm sure that could be just difference in flow benches on different days
