Can anyone recommend a good place to get some stainless steel trim parts refurbished. I have some nicks and dents in my wheel well moldings and rocker trims I would like repaired. I am in central Illinois. I am also looking for someone to refurbish the the BUICK emblem in the rear bumper. It has some minor pitting. My car is a 1970 GSX Thanks Jim

Contact Adam Martin (Smartin) on the board here. He does an excellent job repairing and polishing stainless.

As far as the pot metal Buick emblem, your best bet is to buy one of the new repros. They are around $200 and are beautiful. I have one on my car and its a very nice piece and Im usually very critical of reproduction parts

    Jim,
Adam restored my wheel moldings over the winter & they came out wonderful. He posted a picture of them in one of his posts.. Adam has restored the trim on my GS grill & I will be sending him all my window & belt moldings for refurbish after the body ship is finished with fitting. Great guy to deal with.

If anybody is in need of metal polishing, I'm your guy! I recently polished the hubcaps on the 71 Skylark I just sold but I can polish trim, wheels, etc. I do this on the side as a hobby, I'm not a shop but I can get your dull aluminum or stainless look sparkling new so y'all can see your ugly mugs in it! Let me know, hit me up. Thanks

I can vouch for Adam's work. I have had several pieces polished by him and am very pleased with the results. Plus, central Il is only a hop, skip and jump to Adams place there near St.Louis. You might even be able to find a rendezvous point somewhere.
