putting together a down and dirty street strip 70 skylark , bamboo cream dog dishes blk vinyl top etc. I want to use the stock hood I want a stage 2 scoop does t/a repop the scoop I thought they did? unlimited fiberglass sells one anyone used one? doesn't have to be perfect just close. next question did the air cleaner come through the hole what stopped weather?
TA's the way to go imho. It's made from the KB mold. Is slightly thicker, and has the correct bottom lip.
I bought mine so long ago that I can't even remember where I got it from. I positioned my scoop opening so that I could use either the air pan I made with foam sealed to hood (with no filter element), or a 14" X 4" tall K & N filter with a lid sitting directly on top of the pan for street use. When using the filter, it could be seen up into the scoop. I went a little over the top and welded bracing to the bottom structure of the hood to make up for the material strength that I cut out. I can post pics a little later. Thought I would include a photo of the Ram-Air System I designed back in 1995, .... my car ran .2 faster with this than it ever did with the Stage 2 (with or without filter). Larry
