I can get you pictures of mine. I dont know how "correct" they are, I just played around with the location till I found where I thought it looked good. IIRC, I used 1" painters tape and spaced it up off the hood 1" and back from the front of the scoop 1", but thats going off memory, and I hit my head a lot.....
Thats what I'm looking for. Appreciated . I just don't want to place them incorrectly and hear about it endlessly ..... Suppose it don't matter, as long as I like the way they look. But still... Jim
Just ran out to the barn between rain showers to snap apic. Again, I have no clue if this is "historically accurate" or "correct" (I'm betting no on both counts), I'm just trying to give you a visual to get your bearings on where you may want to put yours. (And forgive the filthy car, I had the cover off while the blast cabinet was in use, it's covered in dust...) It's not the best angle to tell, the reflection makes it look a little crooked, but the 1" tape method is what I did.
These are the factory original Stage 2 decals on the Jones and Benisek car when I owned it. Did not remove them when we restored the car.Original metal hood scoop. Hope this helps. Tom
I was thinking the same thing. Position makes sense as it is the flatest area on the side . Thanks for the help both of you appreciated.....Jim
Funny you said this: My go-to when a flaw is noticed on my project is , " Yain't gonna see it thru the tiresmoke"..... Jim
Thanks! My first paint job , believe me there are plenty of flaws, but I'm pleased with it. She's a driver/track car, so far from perfect, which is perfect for me! Jim
