Has anyone installed stage 2 heads and headers in the G-body. What kind of mods were needed for this. I am going to do this shortly, and i am looking for any tips that might save me a few cuss words. Thanks
Don't know about Stage 2's. I know alot of Regal guys like to run TA's shorties..........that's going to be the route for me when I get that far.
I think Kerry S. has done it, but we lost his posts & pics recently. You can expect the typical G-body header problems, but magnified. Here's a list of trimmings: Crossmember: g-force style crossmember needed Firewall seam: Juts out about 1", flatten the entire thing to the firewall Pass. Upper Control Arms: Grind off the gusset on the rear bushing mount. Alignment studs for Pass. Upper Control Arms: Cut back to leave only 3 threads. Lower Control Arms: trim lower parts about 1/4" ...that should get you started, then you'll just need some fitting!
