There are no aftermarket fenders for the GS/Skylark, Some of the later NOS were produced with a bad alignment problem between the inner structure and the outer skin. This can be fixed but it needs to be addressed before paiting. My painter did not even fit the fenders to the body, just painted them and wrapped them up until I got the car back to them. Now hes trying to align the front sheet metal its its giving him and Me fits. They still have yet to try the hood. I went through this whole deal with the shop owner when I dropped it off to be painted. They either forgot or they don't make a habit of test fitting sheetmetal beofre painting. Now I will either have to deal with bigger gaps or maybe even find a new fender and do some repainting
More "news" The shop had the rear axles out when I got there yesterday. Seems that the sshop that rebuilt the rear used the wrong bearings causeing the axles to be loose in the housing. Also found that there was no oil in the rear. The car was driven 2 blocks and off and on a trailer 2 times. I hope the rear diff isn't ruined. I'll hope for the best. I dropped off the trunk and end cap chrome today ready to be installed. The tilt floor shift collumn, door handles from Mark Reeves. NOS lock set, NOS Trunk light ( Scott Miller)polished rear window trim and glass. GS trunk emblem, rear defrost wiring, sail panel wiring. Map light mirror The guy that owns the shop is going to florida next week for a month so I'lll be dealing with the shop manager
I am going to send Kurt a set of rims and buying repo Goodyears. Those wheels we like that are for sale here are for the wifes Suncoupe
Quick update. A few fittment issues with the NOS drivers fender being ironed out. The hood fits way better than I thought with no pre assembly. The drivers fender seems to be the worst at the rear where it was pulled down by the hood and a high crown at the edge. The hood also has a spot where some paint is lifting so it looks like a lot of paint is going to be resprayed. This is what I did not want because the frame always gets overspray when this is done. They know I am picky so I expect they will spend some extra time on the tape job. Before the paint is fixed they have to mount the chrome upper peak moldings. All the chome is still at the polisher. Anyway the dash is almost ready to install Bumpers are also almost ready just need to gather all the bolts for the frame and get them cleaned up.

Yes they do. If mine were a regular Suncoupe it would probably be a triple black 4 spd. Thats my next Suncoupe

Why not use tool dip. I was looking into this and think it would work well use the dip 2 or 3 times to make it thick enough I've put my extra parts away so I cannot try it right now but will as soon as I can. I'll keep in tough as I am getting another top assembly soon.
Yeah, I had thought of that, but I think it would be to soft and "grabby". The originals are a harder plastic and slide easier. Still, might be worth a try though until we can find something better.

Each car will use 8 ot 10 of these I cannot even remember right now The sleeves to protect your engine block from the rod bolts is almost a fit just too narrow
