Who all's coming, and how much braggin' you gonna do beforehand?

    ---------------------------------------------------

I'll be there, and I'm gonna reclaim my title as the:

"World's Fastest 350-powered Big Buick". :Smarty:

(Try saying that with a mouthful of pebbles)

Any other real-sized cars coming, or is everybody bringing those itty-bitty Skylarks and GN's? :Brow:

I have contacted a few guys I know and hopefully they will be in attendance with their cars:

65 Riv GS 425 dual quad
    64 Lesabre
    62 skylark

    Maybe a few more. :TU:

If you know anymore invite them even if they don't race.... :TU:

As usual, I am in a mad thrash to get my "little" car there. Two 455s in garage, none under hood...
Once I get the motor in the car and running, I still have my transmission problem to deal with. But we are remaining optimistic!! :Brow: :3gears:

Just dropped a 455 in the skylark today, gonna try and have it ready to go down the track on the 18th....ALL THE WAY down the track, hehe.

Anybody wanna give me some predictions on what this would run

.030 over 455,zero decked, mild bowl work on stage 1 converted heads,MT headers,Lunati 224/234 cam around 512 lift, performer intake,Holley 830 double pumper,I have no Idea what gears are in the rear yet.

Phil,BTW do you remember what series posi that is that you sold me,I want to find some gears for it and need to know if I will need a spacer.

Anybody got some 3 series gears for a 70 8.2?

Patrick you will have to do a little looking I am not sure where to get the ring and pinion sets for these. You may need to talk to roger- (OPH) on this board and see if he has any ideas.

Look foward to seeing everyone there.

With a posi and good tires I'd guess high 12s out the box and mid 12s after some tuning

    James,

I'm planning to make it this time and bring the boat. I'm pretty sure it'll make it all the way down the track, so should be good to go here.

Sort of like my golf game, though, I figure the longer it takes you to get down the track (or the more strokes), the longer you get to enjoy the enjoyable.

Oh, wait... this is a trash-talk thread... hmmmm...

I'll boldly challenge any other blue, w/white interior, original motor, peg-leg, 150k miles, '72 Centurion convt.... that should buy me a little room.

I WILL be willing to sign up for team shifts to keep an eye on the cars in the hotel parking lot, if people want to do that. I don't want a single person to head back a couple tons lighter than when they came. I hadn't heard of an incident in Temple, but saw posts on a few others.

If James has any ammo left after Lightning huntin' - we can use that.

That will require plenty of cold beverages...

Oh, cool, Olds-people. Any big-iron in the bunch? An 88 convt?... then we'd just need a Bonneville convt...

I did not do a mass campaign to get the Olds folks together. I will save that for the fall/winter event.

I will be there with my car. There may be some other random people show up though.

Ben, Please pass the word to the olds guys. You guys are like family "redheaded stepchild like" This is one case where child beating is tolerable :spank:

I will put a note on the Austin Olds listserve. However, I am pretty sure that Patton and I are the only ones on that list that are into the racing side of things.

As far as any beatings go, I am certain that you will not be doing any as it takes a running car to do that :Do No:. I will also predict, that if I line up against Dee, and her car stalls, then I will spank the hell out of a Buick .

Thats just like an olds guy go after the easy pickings, the guy running the event that is bringing a friends car and dee the lady with car issues. Why don't you pick on the guy who's street car ran 9.74 that would be a good starting point for you to dream....

And now back to your crack smoking channel! :eek2:
