oh great....I was getting worried there....sweating it ... I took apart them bottom steering arm bolts twice before....one more time and I would have to replace em
Is there a similar gasket like the one above for the rear, between the backing plate and the flange on the axle tube?
I just made mine out of gasket material and installed them night before last, brakes and drums reinstalled and car back on the ground. I guess I did not look hard enough...oh well. ou: I am sure it will be just fine!
Tom ...they are all gone and spoken for ... see if PaulGS can help ya ....if not just hit a Chevy dealer and they can order..use the part # up above
Well, I bought a few of these from a local dealer that had them in stock. Started my chassis assemble today and got through the front brakes. I opened the package with the disc conversion and it actually had the gaskets in the kit. I was shocked after hearing that most kikts didn't have the gaskets. I got my setup on ebay from 60 to 0 brake systems. Everything went together great, I was actually impressed. I'm gonna order the set of stainless brake lines from them. They say they have lines for my 65 with the front conversion kit they sell. So if anybody need any of these gaskets, I have a few, send me a PM and I'll shoot em your way.
your good in thats case....bcs most sellers don't offer or know about the gaskets ... but don't worry ....someone will need em here eventually...I passed my left over 4 sets out for free....
north side ...Harlem near Kennedy xprssway but grew up around North & Pulaski Jimmy's Hot dogs
I put mine back together without them (really forgot them). Until I saw this thread I had forgotten about them. I have the front end apart installing new backing plates (bent them putting the frame back together). So If anyone has a set left, I would like one.
