My buddy, Dave, is hosting a Buick get together at his shop in Lake Worth this Sunday, 1/8 @ 10 AM. J&J Upholstery, 3511 Boutwell Rd., Lake Worth, Fl 33461. There will be about 25 "Black" cars and me with 2 GS's. Not to many V8's representing. If you have a GS or some other Buick slide on by and check it out. Even if your car can't make it you are still welcome. Last year Dave put on a little BBQ. More details will be coming.
I hear ya Curtis! I went to a car show at Old Town a few years ago. You guys have a bunch of GS's up there. I wish I was closer!!!
Dang, still no real replies. I guess I'll be representing alone. I know there's some Miami cars, Ft. Lauderdale cars, Hobe Sound cars..................:af:
Hi John, as it turns out, i won't be able to make it this morning to the social. However, hope we can set up other occasions where us s. florida buicks/gs can get together. Hector.
Wow!!! For you guys that did not make the South Florida Buick "Get Together", it was awesome. I need to download a bunch of pictures, but here is the beginning and end. These 2 pictures DO NOT show all the cars that were there!!! "Briz", Steve, You are the MAN!!!!!!!! I looked forever on that there intronet to find a "Long Distance Award" for Steve. Could not find one, but YOU deserve it!!!! 6 hour drive from Live Oak to Lake Worth in a most beautiful Riviera. More pictures to come.
It was a great show. Between 40 and 50 cars. Mostly Turbo cars, but thats OK. Hosts were super, and even fed us all. Great day.
Fred, it was "Bad To The Bone", wait a minute... That's a "Black Car" song, seeing you and Steve there. I'm trying to download pictures but either my phone is slow right now or the school board's computers are slow today.
Here's some more pictures of some fun at the Buick Get Together..... More pictures later.... Wow, I really have to go to work? What a bummer!!!
Here are some more pictures of the BUICK get together.... I have to tell you all... Steve pulled the wool right over my head!!! He said he was coming, but I never believed him. He even texted me at 10 AM and asked how the weather was down here. When I pulled into the parking lot and saw his car I was flabbergasted!!! By noon the 5th picture was 2 deep in a row of turbo cars!
It turned out to be a beautiful day. Sunny, high 60's, but a bit breezy. Picture 2 is a GNX that had less than 500 miles on it before driving to the get together. It had sat for almost 30 years. Radiator hoses were leaking, hood didn't stay up, but the car looked awesome! Picture 3 is an El Camino with the 3.8 turbo charged BUICK engine. Sweet! Picture 4... A friend of the Dave's shop owns a a catering business. He brought his grill, fryer, and needed equipment and fed everybody. Fried chicken, tator tots, home made burgers, sausage, and more. Thanks!!! Yes, that's GSFred and Brez standing out front waiting for some delicious food. Pics 5 and 6 are more cars. Picture 2 also has Cindy standing in it. She is Dave's wife. Dave and his family have some very nice and very fast GN's. My son met them way back when he got his first T-Type back in high school. They're GREAT!!! Thanks Dave, Cindy, and Shev for putting on a great gathering!!!!
