imagine passing a import with that car with a 528 stuffed in the snout and the look on there faces (priceless):eek2:
I've always loved that body design. It screams character. That and the Pontiac wagons of the same era. I don't know if they were called Safari's or Starchief's. o No: Gotta give the Buick the edge though. :TU: How awesome would it be pulling into the Nats with this thing and a GS in tow. :Brow: Or a GS with this thing in tow? :eek2:
I love wagons... and I really love that vintage Buick wagon! :bglasses: What's with the extra ventiports though? I don't recall ever seeing more than four per side.
GSCA NATS- 1988, I towed my 70 GSX to the Nationals that year with my 30k mile 68 sportwagon. This was great! Both cars are parked in the Holidome parking lot side by side and people thought the wagon was the greatest . The GSX was just another " X" and really didn't get alot of looks. I still have both Buicks even thou the wagon is , lets say different than 1988. It was a great attention getter than and even more so today. I hope to improve my best ET of 10.45 next weekend at Englishtown , nice and cool! Bill Lagna "Sportwagon from Hell "
lol bill, i can see it...pull up, drop the gsx at the showroom, and then go mop up at the track with the tow vehicle.
Ummmm.... All I can say is "frontal area"....ou: I already have enough problems with a '70 GS, and it's 24 feet of frontal area.. But it would be cool... 4 inches off the ground, with 17x33 meats, full moly.. driver in the back seat for weight distribution.. a foot of engine setback.... But I would have to sell my current enclosed trailer, to get that thing it it..:eek2: If I built a "boat", it would have to be a '67 Wildcat, as I have always loved the fastback rear window on that body style. But that wagon would make a killer street rod/custom. :TU: JW
