I have been trying to list my race car on ebay for 3 days. First day I found the new virus, removed the second day and couln't get pictures to load. Now on the third day still can't load pictures. I tried from a floppy disc from my camera with 2 different discs, switched to only 1 disc then copied to a cd. I tried to leave for over an hour while it tried to load and still didn't work. Help me out. I won't be back for a few hours now if anyone tries to reach me. Thanks, Dennis

I might be wrong, but I am pretty sure the pics have to be a certain size otherwise ebay will not take up when you upload them.

    pics

dennis mike is right about the pic size. i think you have to download iview or ifranview ? ( cant see it right now ) file from ebay most likely to do it. its been a while, but pics must be no more than so many pixels ? or something like that. once i downloaded that, all i have to do now is resize the pics in my puter ( photo something ) and it works. i'm thinking its 300 pixels max. the more pics you use, or supersize, the slower it will load. it takes about 6-7 mins for me to load 6 supersize pics, far less for 1-2 reg size. they claim it depends on the speed of your internet connection & file size also. as for cd's & disks, i dont know anything about em. i can ebay & post here, thats all i know about puters but i do load auctions almost every day on ebay. if they're too big you should get an error message & code # in red letters once the next page comes up. it wouldnt work for me til i downloaded that file from ebay. what does yours do ? hope this helps.

me giving e- advice, who'd of thunk it. hmmmmm it'll probably snow tonight.

Stalls for about 10 minutes with a pictures are loading message. Message goes away and I hit continue then I get a message that says pictures will delete if I try to continue without pictures loaded completely. I left it for over an hour while I ran errands earlier and got the same message when I returned. The pictures are big, I will try again tomorrow with your advise. I have work in the morning and am too tired and stressed to do it now. Anyone out there that would resize for me, the pics are all on disc and would be easy to e-mail. Thanks, Dennis

I can resize them for you no problem.
    (assuming thats the problem)
I'll send my email address to you via PM.

    But.....
I had some problems uploading pics to eBay when I first got my Norten Internet Security 2003 set up. I forget what I had to do, but it was something about my software that didn't like how eBay was taking the pics from my PC.
So maybe "size doesn't matter" :gt: in this case.

Car is now listed #2428299913 with no pictures. I have tried everything that has been suggested. I worked with ebay live help and they were unable to get the problem figured out. The ad is probably a waste of money with no pictures, but I am out of patience. I am a computer idiot so it is more than likely my fault. Pictures have been resized ( sent them to Rick to check size ) and they have been loaded a on the hard drive with no luck. Thanks to everyone for trying to help, Dennis

My email has been funky lately so I don't know if you got my email....

But anyways.... I got your pics, and they are tiny in my opinion. In fact.. too small to be effective I think.

But I uploaded them to my server and you can have them in your listing by copying the code I sent you via email directly into your listing by using the "edit" or "add" functions on eBay.
Then if you send me bigger pics later, I can swap them out and your listing will automatically update.

Let me know if you didn't get my email and I'll try sending it again.

    Good luck!
