Working on my first Buick restoration and want to get it right and looked at the photos in the GSX restoration and the part 2 finishes thread. First question is - what is the finish on the floor and trunk pan body plugs ? Photos show them as painted but I have always seen them as a galvanized or silver cad finish. Second - The pinch bolts for the rag joint and the steering shaft are calling for a gold finish. But these seem to be a black oxide finish. Which is correct ? 3rd - the thin fender support braces I would paint satin black. Correct ? 4th - what kind of grade 8 nuts are used on the engine mount thru bolts ? Standard hex ? 5th - What is the finish on the throttle cable bracket on the back of the intake ? Red or silver cad ? 6th - Likewise what is the finish on the PCV hose bracket that mounts on the choke assembly ? Red or phosphate ? 7th - Didn't see the alternator code stamping in the assembly manual. What is the 2 letter code for the 773 alternator ? Thanks for the help
