Im looking to replace the roof rail weatherstrip on my 70 Skylark and was looking at soffseal (unless someone has a better suggestion) summit racing has it for $44 a pair and opgi has it for $70, anyone know why the big difference in price? is the pair summit is selling missing something?

I like the metro weather strip better except for the door and trunk then I use the latex that parts place sell. Summit just has a better price than some retailers.

I tried softseal many years ago (roof rail as well) on my '72 and it was a poor fit. I removed it and got original GM at dealership (much to my surprise). Obviously, you won't get it now at the dealership, but maybe Softseal has improved its design since I bought it.

I recently installed Soft Seal door weatherstrip on a 1986 ChevElCamino and the fit of the molded ends was horrible. I used the Soft Seal years ago on a '70 GS and the doors and trunk lid would hardly close because the rubber was so dense. I like the Metro brand much better .

Metro even advertises about "the durometer doesn't lie"; theirs are softer..

Metro weather stripping at Rockauto.com has the cheapest prices anywhere
