I hear ya, Erik. But when someone screws you, then 'possibly' comes back under an alias trying to buy parts, etc, really gets under my skin....

    BAD HEALTH ISSUES?!?!

March 2009 to October 2009. I think George has been patient enough! Some members on here in Barrie, maybe someone can check things out for George...

I went through a recent transaction (on different board) and waited 3 months to get the part. However, the guy was not lieing to me. He made it known he was going through a family emergency, and that shipping the part was just getting delayed. Finally i had had enough, so he said, ok next week i will either ship the part or your money back. It was done.

If he had been avoiding payment for a legit reason, he would not be lieing to George....

All I'm going to say to try to take a positive out of this is that it was only 92$. Could be worse. But I disagree with the people trying to cover for the guy. Unless you're dead, you have no reason for a lack of communication to this degree. Not that anyone cares, but just wanted to give my 2 cents.:Smarty:

I also have somewhat of the same problem. Mailed a company check in June. It was cashed & cleared early July. It's only for $100.00 for some used parts at a salvage yard. I am hoping that there is not some kind of major or personal health problem. He used to be on this board daily & since June 29th. he hasn't been around. I know he has helped many others with the parts he finds & sources for many of us. He goes by the name of DualQuad & his name is Robert Stern out in Ca. I have sent PM's to him with no replies. Hope all on his part is OK. Does anyone know Robert Stern??? Is he OK???

Guys- i do take partial blame for being 'trusting'. Shame on me for 'trusting' Sean (or whatever the alias is this week) and sending the parts before payment. My reasoning: I would rather get the part to one of you guys ASAP than waiting for payment, funds to clear, etc (this was before Sean). Some parts I have given away-only to expect the 'taker' to pay for shipping. Well, that also blew up in my face several times. So why do I keep doing it? Because I was new to the Buick world once. It was very hard to find parts, let alone GET the parts from those holding onto them (and this was around the year 2000/2001!!!!). You almost had to prove you were into Buicks for the long haul BEFORE you even were offered the option to buy the part. Today, with advances in communications, internet and the auction houses being televised, parts are plentiful for the $$$$.

So, there's my 01:24 am rambling.

If the buyer of these frame pads- WHATEVER NAME THEY USE- just PM's me an apology and settles up, I will happily remove this and any other post I have on the matter. If he would like to PUBLICALLY take responsibilty, I think it would show the board that you're a man of your word. Please, just do what's right.

    thank you for your time.

I will talk to Sean and see if we can't resolve this. I think what is going on is (and I'm not taking sides here) IMHO he might feel that he is backed into a corner after seeing all these post. He told me when all this happened that he sent cash in a envelope to save the fee's for a money order, that said George has been on here since 2002 like me and I know for a fact that he would never screw anyone either. My thought is that Sean needs to think about this in a way of being on the other side of this deal a chalk it up to lesson learned and never send money in the mail because if it gets lost there is no paper trail. Maybe if everyone cools there jets this can be resloved. I have been selling parts to Sean for about the last year with nothing but good transactions, as a matter of fact he has my bank account number and he deposits the money into my account.

The only time and the last time (I hope) I got screwed on this board for money was 3 or 4 years ago I got screwed by a board member from NY, I sold him some never installed stage4 castings, 9 good used JE race pistons, 8 crower 4340 rods 2 of them in need of repair or replacment for $1200 + $75 for shipping to BG that he was going to pay directly to Rick Henderson who gave the parts to him in person at BG and he told Rick to collect it from me:Dou: I felt bad for this person because he was short of money after his engine went boooom so I gave him 3 months to pay to boot, well long story short and I have every pm and e-mail between the 2 of us and about 1 1/2 years later, I think we were at $600 I got pissed of because he kept giving me the MO is in the mail bs and offered to give him back his $600 and I would even pay for shipping, then it was the MO must of got lost, then it was the bank said he would have to wait 90 day's before they can give a replacement so I asked him why he couldn't take his receipt to the bank and he said he lost it. At the end of it all I got $900 and gave a decent 70-72 front fender to Rick to cover this guys shipping and the last time we talked I told him I went through my account just to make sure that I didn't screw up, I DID NOT and he still owes me $300 plus the $75 for shipping. He says he paid me so I asked him to find his paper work and e-mail the copies of the MO's showing that he pay'd only to get no returned pm or emails since. Since all this I have learned that he has screwed a couple other people on here as well. I HATE the fact that not only did I carry him, but sold him the parts for WAY less then a fair market value, I was up front about the rods etc and he still screwed me. Chris

    Chris;

Has Sean ever sent cash to you for payment? Sounds odd to me.
The lack of communication is the biggest part that discredits him.
I tend to believe in people and I've been had that way.
On the other hand someone comes along and makes me feel better about trusting people some times. Just sold some 65 Mercury Comet bumpers this last weekend. I didn't want to wait around during hunting season so I left them outside the garage and said if he wants them just to leave the money in the horse trailer. He left a little extra along with a nice note!

Like I said in the above post, he deposit's the money straight into my account. I'm not making excuses for Sean. George sent Sean the parts in good faith with out payment, No matter what happened here, George needs to get paid and I believe Sean sent the money and it got lost. If Sean knew George like we all do this would of never been a problem. I hope Sean does the right thing and pays George. Chris

Simple solution: get back on the board, explain what happened, and pay the man. Problem solved. (who sends CASH in the mail????) :Do No:

Chris, this is your first post on this thread? Were you unaware of this issue all these months, until now?

Hi David, I have known about this since the start. Sean called me at the start of all this to ask me if George was a straight shooter because he sent the cash to George in a card and that George says he hasn't got it yet. I told him that there was no way George would screw him. I have talked to both Sean and George on the phone about this and I wanted to stay out of this (for my own reasons) but this has been going on for to long. Its not like I have just sat on the side lines turning a blind eye. You know the old saying, "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink" At the end of the day I think George will get paid, I have faith in Sean to do the right thing:TU: Chris

If Sean is a good guy and there has been a monumental foul up (wouldn't be the first) then it sounds like some communication would be a good first step.
It doesn't happen a lot but things do get lost in the mail.
Hope it gets resolved and everyone can come out feeling like the right thing was done.

Thank you, Chris for your help in this matter. Again, a few FACTS:
1). I sent the parts to Sean on 'trust' after a bunch of emails and PM's.
2). I even ATE $15 or so dollars on the shipping (to be a nice guy or just plain stupid).
3). Ask Sean to send payment.
4). Multiple emails and PM's ensue during the two or so weeks following the mailing and confirmed arrival of said package.
5). Sean STOPS answering emails, PM's.
6). Mods involved. Another email address to no avail.
7). MAIL a LETTER to his house- no response.
8). THIS GOES ON FOR OVER A YEAR.
9). POPS UP WITH A DIFFERENT SCREEN NAME!!!!!!!!!!
10). I find out who it truely is and PM/ email him.
11). NO RESPONSE to any emails/ PMs
    12) STOPS posting on the board.
13). Fing him on the BPG board and email/ PM him
    14). NO ANSWER
    15). STOPS posting on BPG.

I am sorry- but if it walks like a duck..... I mean, come on!!!! Changing screennames, never answering emails, PM's, posts, etc. NEVER sending a reply back by snail mail...

    Draw your own conclusions...
