Thanks for the encouragement gents:beers2: If things go very well it might be ready by mid to late summer but I'm not getting my hopes up. The front rims are 15's standard width(forgot the width ou with a 235 60 series tire,I should have went a couple of sizes taller to fill out the wheel-well better The rears are 15'sx10'' wide with a 295/50 series tire,off-set is 5-5/8''.Thanks goes to the board for the rear-offset numbers,it's a very tight fit to the shock mount.I like how these cars swallow up a big tire,I could have went taller no problem This week-end did a trial fit of the wheel-well trim & rocker panel(s) moldings plus drilled out the fenders for the WARNING BADGES:Brow: which we managed to get on straight(I think?) despite too many wobbly pops to be doing such a task. The stainless fender trim is a bitch to work with, almost kinked one,was hoping for a better fit than we got but over-all it's not too bad Anyone know a good pin-stripe that will match the rocker panel molding red?
Finally started working on the car again & pulled the body off the frame today.Didnt expect to find a build sheet but there it was on top of the gas tank under the mat, very surprised at how good of shape it is considering the climate around these parts. I wonder what's up with the extra anti-freeze? V48
Frame sand-blasted & powder coated midnight black, new big block springs(frame now sits 1 1/4 inches lower than with the 350 springs),new A-arms,new steering components-69 chevelle box, front disc,H n R Parts rear-end set-up,1/2 inch fuel lines & new brake lines as well.Floor pan & firewall painted but no pics of that yet but I will soon.Planning to drop the body back on tomorrow if we can find a few able bodies for lifting. The Old The New
Looking great but for GODS sake leave the rocker chrome off behind the rear wheels no GSX or GS had those just Skylark Custom unless you like them that is Where did you get the tires I really like those

Thanks again for the kind words gents it keeps us motivated :TU: Had a hell of a time trying to find the code for Saturn yellow, never did,so I took in a 1:18 scale model of a GSX & had the paint scanned at the local supply shop.I have never seen a GSX in person so I dont know what the yellow is even suppose to look like. All I know is this yellow sure is loud..I like it!
Really looking forward to seeing more pics and info on your restoration. It looks fantastic! Too bad you had trouble locating correct Saturn Yellow paint code. It's relatively easy to obtain and many on this form could have given you the correct dietzler or PPG codes. But, no matter as the paint work is done anyway. Keep the pics coming.
I did try about 6 codes from this forum & we always came up empty handed but like you say no matter as I like it & I'm not going after a correct nut & bolt restoration anyways. Just want a kick-ass Buick street/strip machine.
I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo jelious. That is a great car you are building. You could have found the codes here on the Color is everything forum by searching it, but it looks like you are right on even without it. Thats an unbelievable amount of work you are doing
Your car is over the top. Lots of very cool stuff. One of the best I have ever seen. I think evrybody is looking forward to seeing this car finished.:TU:
