Thanks Brian, for setting me straight. :)
I have never had halo trim, and thought it was like all the other trim, mostly stainless for the thin metal, and pot metal for thicker trim and emblems.

I could make it real simple for you.......very easy.

How easy can it be? Can a caveman do it? Im feeling pretty Neandertal-ish. Can 100 valiums come with it? I know Im stressing over a not-so-big part of this equation, but the light aint coming on.
    I'm listening LOL... ws

Bill, I have a pretty decent cross flow radiator support from a `65 that I've had for years and haven't needed it yet and doubt if I ever will if you're interested, and, of course, if it'll fit a `64. Problem is getting it up to you. If you had plans to come to Jefferson this weekend I could bring it along, or possibly meet you somewhere.

Brian... those pics show a lot of the blanks that I cant seem to fill in. Especially the saddles on the bottom. I know my vertical core frames are 27+" inside. Your 3 row core looks like about 21-22" overall on the width. Even being a 3 row, Im am concerned about cooling the 455. Think its adequate? My other issue is the curvature of the bottom channel from the V6. If it were square, I could slide a 6 row into the core support with no worries. Those curves really limit the width of the tanks and lower hose nipple. That all said limits me to a 20 inch wide unit with 27" of space. Your shroud brackets are just fine BTW. I can deal with the shroud as the job moves along. I am not opposed to a cut making the OEM shroud an upper and a lower half with a joint on the center line.

Bill, I hope you have fun at Jefferson! Dont forget the ADVIL LOL... Im shooting you a PM directly.

Thanks to both of you guys ! Ive put out so many calls for help with little response, it hurts my feelings. Have a great day! BAMM!!! Bill

The 64 Special in my Avatar had a slightly modified 455 it had a Griffin radiator that was the same size as these pictures and never over heated . It had a shroud and a flex can. I would cruise it around and even sit in parking lots and have it idle and never any over heating issues. That same engine is sitting in my Skylark that hopefully that will be cruising someday.

That wasnt an "exploding" flex fan was it? Sorry to be such a PITA, but doing a refit of this magnitude on a pension ranks pretty high on the stress factor. Just hate to make a 200.00 mistake. Pat would ring my neck! TIA Bill
