I know this is a broken record conversation
But I’m looking for some help figuring out what drag radials and tire size to go with. I want the biggest tire I can fit in the back of my 72 Skylark. I’m ok with rolling or doing some trimming if need be. I have a set of 15x10 5.5BS. Also looking for a recommendation for a drag radial. Car will see some street time but will be at the track a few times a year. Also what should run for the front? My wheels are 15x3.5 I’d like to go with a decently wide tire as again this will see the street and some highway time.
Thanks for any input and if you have photos to post that would be a plus!

this is the look I’m going for

this a 325/50 on a 15x10 5.5bs znd is all you getting in a stock rolled lip well

Get a pair of 5in or 6in wide fronts with 215/75's

3.5 is too narrow for street driving on our big cars

Thanks for the info looks good. Front end needs to come down some and taller front tires I think?

Think I could run a 195 tire on my 3.5 rim?

I wouldn't,...165 or 185 is the go to for a 3.5,...a 195 would be a little unstable imo

Thanks for the info. How tall would you go on the tires?
definitely will be lowering it. Im leaning towards QA1 adjustable coil overs
    Thanks for you help

    Hoosier 295/65/15.

Ex massage inner wheel well or roll outer or both for nice room.
Hoosiers are Narrower than Mickey Thompson’s.
If that’s too big for ya 275/60/15 is an easy fit
    Hoosier or mickeys work well.
    And a 27” -28” tall front tire.
Filling the wheel wells looks much better.

29x11.5 on 15x10's rear, 28x5 (I think) on 15x4's fronts. Rear lip rolled for a little wiggle room.

I wasn't much of a fan of that wheel design but after seeing it on your buick I sure am having second thoughts.

I dunno. That’s a good question. Probably y’all like a 275 60 15. But test fit something before you spend.
My friend has them on ralleys on a 68 impala.

That is what I have. 215/75/15 Starfire tires.
Oldsmobile tires, lol. Good to 110 so far.
My front wheels are 15x5 I believe from a 79 lesabre I had.
