Hi all, new here on the forum. Rebuilding a 1968 Buick 350 basically stock. Question 1 is there any secret of getting the side seals in on the rear main?They are really tight screwed up one set going to try again. Question 2 why do they send 4 nails my old one, when removed only had 1 each side. Thanks Will appreciate any help.
I used a dab of main bearing lube enough to wet the seal on all sides. One in each seal is all u require. They just sent a couple spares. U may need to use a razor blade to remove excess length of the seals & maybe grind a little off the nails if they are too long.
