:shock: Good grief! That is absolutely amazing! What are the letters on the front of the LH valve cover? And is that a speck of dirt on the coolant reservoir?? :grin:

 

Looks like a reflection from the T-shirt theh camera guy is wearing... :laugh:

 

The valve cover stickers were easily seen codes to inform the plant workers of what options (A/C vs. non air, automatic vs. manual trans, Stage 1 vs. standard 455, etc.) the body that particular engine would eventually be matching up to had so they could equip the engine with the appropriate brackets, carbs, distributors, etc..

Yes there are. I built this Olds 350 while in mechanics School in 1983, Runs Great. But this wont be in my car for much longer. I hope to complete my BBB 455 soon. Then the Olds engine will be for sale.

 

My "new engine" (august) in and out of my car Finally took an in car shot this week once it got dirty. Valve Covers stickers on the way in the mail.
