Yup, that was me. You can see pics here. http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/journal.php?action=view&journalid=21077&page=7&perpage=5&reverse=1

It worked out pretty well for a first attempt but I feel I can do better and maybe someday I will but for now it works.

you guys have such beautiful engines. I saved every pic. I have to admit, the engine is the most interesting part of a car for me so I love this thread. I'm not sure why but I'm partial to the stock look. Smartin(bigger pics please), Larry70GS, Flynbuick, GString, bradbrad :TU: :kodak:

I also have to give credit Joe Kelsch for the stock, weathered look and a car that scoots. Very sneaky Joe :TU:

as for my lowly heap, I love to show people my engine because they are so unimpressed, which is exactly how I want it! Even in these pics I took tonight, it's too flashy. Future dress downs include painting the oil fill cap and getting a stock looking air cleaner with a 350-4 decal. It looks almost like a "stock 350" right?

Great thread with lots of nice pics. I like both the high performance and stock appearance as well.

Glen - Your 71 looks GREAT!! Please post more pics when you get the chance. :TU:

Andy - I like your "350". I'm sure it looks pretty much stock to the non-Buick guy until you fire it up. :eek2: I agree, finish it off with a stock 350-4 air cleaner!

    Here's mine:

Finally, after being on the shelf for 2 1/2 years, I installed the custom aluminium rocker covers. I searched all my ols messages and posts, but can't find the name of the member who made them. The a/c bracket cleared too.
