Should I replace soft body gaskets?

Just want to double check before installing my quadrajet:

I removed my Quadrajet so I could clean it better, but I accidently dropped it into a bucket of water (lol) and the gaskets you can see outside the house got soft. Is this a warning sign so I should replace them or doesn’t it affect the compressed gasket-zones?

I bought new air horn and throttle body gaskets from quadrajetparts but I’m worried that I would mess something up when I replace them so I prefer not.

I guess it depends on how long it was in the water. If only for a few seconds and drained right away, it would probably be OK, but if it sat wet for a while and then slowly dried yo may have some water/mineral deposits. Try installing it and see what happens. Don't be afraid to take the Q-jet apart. There is a ton on info on the web to help you along.

I trimmed all that stuff off for a cleaner look.
