I know LSs are cheap (the truck 5.3s anyway) but what’s the usual price difference on a PPV with/without engine? Is there a reason buyers would want a roller other tgsn a big price difference? Patrick
If it’s dirt cheap and you get an engine cheap enough or you need a parts car for your caprice. You can find afm failed cars for under $3k though so just a chassis seems silly.
I really dig that white caprice in the first post!! I'm gonna be in the DD beater market in the next few months I think, and you've got me seriously considering on of these.
I would have preferred white but they’re hard to find unless you buy an inop car on govdeals right now. There’s a bunch of Tennessee cars for sale.
That doesn’t seem like a good deal. You can get afm failure cars for that. Once you add the price of a gen IV 6.0 for a few grand and shipping you’re up near the price of a beat up body running vehicle.
If the body is clean and the title is clear doesn’t seem bad. Vehicles outside the west and south will likely already have rot taking hold underneath. This is 96 caprice at the Tucson u pull it. Available now this is how it was Thursday. Yes know this thread is about the Holden PPV but just a few pics of the “old cop car”. Hard to believe it’s been out of production for twenty plus years. The Ford/Mercury RWD Panther bodied cars survived until 2011.
Having fun with this thing. Still need to decide on what I want to do for a console. Installed some 14” brembo brakes that were essentially bolt on and fit under stock wheels.
Let me know if you figure a console out. I was sitting in mine yesterday (programming the ignition key) and it was apparent (to me) that I really like having a console to rest my elbow on.
I saw a picture of a car with a cut down g8 console. Couldn’t find any more pictures of how it was done though. Otherwise there are some aftermarket ones on eBay for like $200. They’re a bit cheesy looking though
if its a rear wheele drive like the one in the Jeff Gordon taxi prank. Which was the follow up to the Jeff Gordon car dealer test drive prank.
That’s a Chevy ss. Same platform but the caprice is 3” longer. L77 6.0 LS with 355hp, rwd and 6l80 6 speed auto. It’s my new dad mobile, picture is on the first page along with what I gave to my wife.
