The car currently has cheep $20 KYB's and they ride like rocks.
I weigh 225lbs and i can't compress them but a 1/2" leaning on the fenders.
I drive mostly in the city so i'm looking for a shock thats soft and smooth.
Handling is not much of a concern, more slow n low.
    Price range 30-50 bucks each.
    Cheers!

If I am not after road race type of high speed handling I stay far away from the ruff ride of any type of gas filled shocks!

Are they gas shocks? Most gas shocks ride fine to me?

Gas vs, not-gas is not the issue.

The valving of the shock is the issue.

I have KYB Gas A Just on my Skylark and they are a little too mushy for me.
If you are looking for soft I think they might fit the bill.

I put Monroe's on, softened it a bit then i realized it was the 1.25" after market sway bar that had it to stiff.
I removed it, much better. i'll put a stock swaybar on it.
    Cheers!
