After 47 years of being silent, we fired the car for the first time and dad's ashes were in the seat...emotions all around and let's just say the tears all weren't from just the nitro. This is just a light 25-30% load of nitro but it really doesn't matter...WHEN was the last time you heard an 8-71 blown Buick on nitro? https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1679681275456074
A big thanks to John Everett, Jim Weise, Kurt Peterson, Greg Edmundson, Mike & Sherri @ TA Performance, Bruce Dyda, Alky Digger, Good Vibrations and everyone here and in the Buick community that helped make this dream a reality...I cannot begin to tell you what this means to me.
AWESOME!! I'm so happy to see that car restored to it's former glory and I hope to see it in person someday. Great job John, i'm sure your Dad is proud.
LOL...man, seems like forever huh? We'll have the car here in July, were invited back with 16 original flip-top Logghe-chassis car's, including 4 of the original Comet's, should be wild! www.concoursusa.org
The car is absolutely stunning. It sounds amazing. It may have taken an extra couple of days to get her running, but I'm pretty sure it was worth the additional time. Looking forward to seeing you and the car again.
The tribute to your Dad, the extensive dedication to getting a super rare Buick drag car restored and running again? Very, VERY WELL DONE. Thank you for letting all of us share in this incredible moment, Sir. Over the top cool.
John, I'm so glad I could help in what ever way I could. I'm so glad Jerry was there and behind the wheel!
