I know some cars are referred to as "20 footers," Maybe that's why he chose to take half his pics from 20 feet. Scratch that -- 50 feet.

But yeah, seems pretty solid and well kept. Musta stayed in a warm, dry garage during those cold, salty winters.

I get it, but I well recall having to go by an ad that looked something like this in any given newspaper:

    1970 Buick Skylark-convt, auto, p/s, p/b, solid, runs good, b/o (222) 222-2222

    Followed by a phone conversation.

Your first image was usually pulling up to the sellers house.

    What's that 222 area code BS? It's 555 dammit! Followed by 867-5309!

Yeh, down in the barn in a little leather calculator case I still have a black & white paper magazine ad the size of a matchbook on a car one of my buddies just beat me to back in the day “1970 Oldsmobile 442,455,4-speed convertible, red with black stripes.”
You should have seen the chick magnet that car was back in the 1980’s and damn fast to boot!
Still regret I didn’t dial fast enough!

My 442 was rally red aka Oldsmobile orange. Dash marks no paint code. Factory ram air dual gate sport mirror no air car. Bought it from the original owner. I Never got beat on the street in that car. Looked great. Could never just go park in a park though ha ha. Ran so good.

Not surprising. Fifty years old - in that climate.
