I was installing traction bars on my car and noticed it was seeping oil out of one of the plug weld holes. I put new rear springs and shocks on the back and made it wheel hop bad,I got A little ruff with it A couple of times and I may have damaged it. 20200515_082708.jpg 20200515_082652.jpg

clean them out and try a little black permatex about the plug welds.

Did you clean that spot? Looks like to me it has been leaking a while with all the oil on the housing around it...lol.
You have to clean it real good brake cleaner or acetone....something like that...Even JB Weld should help if you want a bit more strength in your seal....:)

You also could have someone finish the weld too. BUT you might make it worse if they do not know how to weld to cast...

I cleaned it up some ,it looks like it may have been leaking for A while to me too,the factory weld job dosen't look real good, not as much weld on the right side on both plug welds. I have A 72 GS and looked at the plug welds on it and the holes were welded A lot better.
I just noticed it the other day doing work to it.I was A little concerned ,I put new springs and shocks on it and it had A bad wheel hop, I got on it hard one time and was afraid I may have hurt it.It dosen't look like anything has moved so I think I will clean it up good and put some JB weld in the holes.

Yes and get some upper control arms that are adjustable to control that wheel hop...NOT good for the drive line. you need to preload that pinion a bit more to stop that....OR the rubber bushings are just not strong enough to keep the torque planted.

I have all ready installed traction bars, and they have stopped my wheel hop.
