Seatbelts

Need to know if this was a factory 3 point shoulder setup when new or just a standard seat belt. The car had a bench seat which I converted to Buckets. The reason I'm asking is I'm going to gateway to drag race this year and don't want no problems with inspections there. Got me a snell 2015 helmet coming too.

 

The front seats would have had shoulder belts from the factory, bench or buckets.

 

Would the factory bolt up at the headliner? I see no spot up that way. Would you be so kind as to post me a picture where it should go?

 

The factory mounted the shoulder belts as shown in this pic. 1970-72 were all located identically, but the 1972 belts differed at the buckle end.

I see some cars with the 2 loop retainers like pictured, and other cars have a solid length of plastic that the seat belt tuck's behind. Was one an option?

 

I think the plastic (vinyl) shoulder belt retainer was not used until the 1972 model year.

 

Yup 71 did not have.
