    Copperhead Dave:

I used the same buns for the rear as I could not find any place that had them.
In fact I went to the local fabric emporium and they had some foam there so I added some where I thought I could.
    It was fun!

I guess I'll start thinking of the front original buckets in the summer....This ought to be a job!

PS I was short on the back top with that fabric you spoke of.

    Thanks,
    Scott

Scott, I saw back seat foam liste in the Ames Engineering Pontiac catalog. They have good prices on the quality front seat foams as well. Check out their site. let me know how the front seats work out. I am terrified of working with my own fabrics. If I rip it I could not sleep.

    Copperhead Dave,

Roger copy that, I sent them a note:

    Dear Sirs/ Amesperf.com,

I understand you sell foams for my 1971 Buick Gran Sport? Where do I find them in your catalog? Will they work for my car? If so How much are they?

    Thanks
    Scott

hey scott did you happen to find a build sheet tucked between the foam layers in the rear bottom seat? took mine out to do the rear deck and found it in there by luck. a little piece of it was laying on the burlap material underneath and i dug around and found the rest it was in a bunch of pieces but i found it all. my car wasn't anything special but it was a pretty cool find

    Charlie,

That is so cool! Nope nothing under mine, only the carpet had a "Union Card" to vote for someone in the union, when I put new carpet in over fifteen years ago while in Newark/ Fremont Ca. Hold on to that! I'd say your car is more special with finding that. It is exciting to find those small time capsules, to know someone put it in, Ain't...

They may not know if they work but I bet that they will> You may need to contact the manufacturer of American Cushion Industries and ask if they work for Buick. In the Pontiac catalog it states that for 71(Pontiac anyway) That the center listing slots need to be cut using the old seats as guide. Ames sells for $189 per pair. They sell cheaper ones as well but I hear they are junk and the Americans are the best.

    Dave,

Got an answer this morn, You were right:

I sell seat foams for GTO's will they fit your car? I don't know, It is a GM a-body car also, so it may. Our listing in the catalog is A132B for the foams to do a pair of buckets.
We have a note about using them for 71-72s

"**FOR 1971-72 THE CENTER LISTING SLOT WILL NEED TO BE CUT INTO THIS PAD USING ORIGINAL AS A GUIDE.**"

    thanks
