It won't hapen again -- she finally saw the light and got a wallet, as opposed to just scattering them randomly around the house, in her car, or in her laundry.
For several years my wife and I have had an ongoing disagreement as to why I have 2 credit cards and she only has 1, these are VISA/Master Card, not store credit cards. I explained that 1 is for in person purchases, 1 is for on-line/over the phone purchases so I can keep track if my my card information has been stolen as I am somewhat paranoid about this. Sure enough, a few month ago she gets her statement and and a charge from a business she didn't recognize is on her bill. Was it made in person? On line? Over the phone? No clue and she is all worked up over it. Finally narrowed it down after finding the location of the transaction and it was from a kiosk in a mall that the name wasn't even close to what was on the statement. 2 credit cards for different types of purchases make is much easier to see if your card has be stolen. I am even toying with the idea of a 3rd card to separate on-line and over the phone purchases. My wife...well she is still going to stick with her 1 card but keep all receipts until the bill has been paid.
