I do believe the big car power steering bracket isn't going to work because the steering box on your car will be in the way. I had to alter it to fit, you can see where I welded a tab on it to make it work. I did this many moons ago and can't remember specifics. Good score on finding a BBB to replace the bow tie.
I appreciate the heads up, I didn’t even think about that being an issue! I’m still in the process of trying to source all the big block 4 speed parts so I’m still not ready to do the swap yet. I underestimated the cost and scarcity of those BBB 4 speed parts.
There's a guy in the "car part outs" section selling 4 speed car stuff. Hope this helps? http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1967-gs400-convertible-4-speed.331627/ http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/skylark-gs-69-400-car-stage-1-parts-4spd-tilt-tach-buckets-gs-hood-san-jose-ca.293779/unread
That one says the car now has a 350 with auto trans in it but I’ll ask if he still has any of the BBB parts. Can’t hurt to ask! Thanks for trying to help though! I think all I need at this point is a BBB clutch fork. Unless I’m missing something about the swap. I’m going to get the flywheel from TA. GSFred had a BBB ZBar that I just picked up.
I was going to say ask fred he has 1,2 or 10 of everything! I offered to rent his time machine from him but no dice lol
Will do! Thanks for the heads up on that radiator too that I asked you about. Got it all put in and the car is running much cooler now. I had to shave down the rubber pieces a little bit that go in between the radiator and it’s support but it fits good now.
Thanks! It was stored in a garage for the last 40 some years I was told. I bought it from the original owners son who said his father removed it from his car in the 70s.
