    Looking for some help

Need to swap the nailhead for a SBC. Many reasons why but mainly it will be a daily. I'm in Australia so parts a thousand times rarer and it's not currently running well (runs hot)

Ive heard / read to make this swap Inc a TH350

Mounts need to be changed as nailhead mounts at front of engine SBC mid engine
Trans tunnel needs some sheet metal work
Oil pan won't clear steering so need a modified pan

Anyone done this ? Or have any advice

    Thanks in advance

No trans tunnel mods, should not even need to move the x member. I would use chevelle engine mounts and frame pads and just drop the engine in with the mounts attached to the frame pads. Once in place and your happy then mark the places for the bolt holes to mount the frame pads. Remove the engine and drill holes for the frame pads then bolt the pads in place and put the engine back in. You can use an adapter between the original trans and the chevy engine or you can swap out the trans. I would just build my own adapter using a 1/4" plate of steel.

Also do not listen to the people who try to talk you out of the swap, it is easy and it makes sense. It is your car do what you want.
