mine burnt up inside, only started my car maybe 50 times b4 it died. it just wouldn't hardly spin, cranked super slow, put my 2 year old big heavy on and off it went.

I have used db electrical for several things. bought 2 100 amp alternators, 1 died b4 a year but they replaced it.

my boat starter is from there, been going 4 years now

they would had warrantied by buick starter but it sat on the shelf more than a year b4 the motor got back togerher

We offer the TA 2022 mini starter. Believe it or not, the mini starers that you can get from your local auto parts store, Amazon, eBay, etc. use plastic drive gears (take yours apart, you’ll be surprised). We have these starters special built for us with steel drive gears and a higher quality stator for increased durability and lifespan. The end result is a more reliable starter that you can even use on cars with high compression ratios. Generic mini starters can break and fail on 10.5:1+ compression engines, especially if the engine kicks back.

in the pic off db electrical site the starter on the right is listed for the lt1, the one on left they say fits bbb. I kind of guess they would be the same but they have 2 different part numbers, 2 different prices, and they do look different slightly in the pics

I painted my old reliable starter White because white dissipates heat and black holds it in. It been in there a long time now...
