    Andy, Hope this helps some...........

Helmet I believe HAS to be at least a snell 95 rated now minimum. Aftermarket belts will be dated when you pruchase them for 3 years I believe. Aftermarket or stock ???? How safe do you want to be ? But if you want to run in the 11's you have to have a 3" setup. Several different types of harness' out there. Do some shopping. Open or closed face ? I would say closed face all the way. Bobb M's accident proves that 100%. God forbid something happen, but if it should, would you want your face exposed ? Master switch is required for a relocated battery. If yours is in the stock location your ok.

    Again, hope this helps.................

if your going low 11,s you need a roll bar, than with that comes the belts and the seat mounts to the bar,[you didnt say if you had a bar allready]; you would also need a SFI,jacket,
switch not needed till Battery moved ,or you faster than 9.99,
but if you do move battery make sure you wire car so alt. wire runs to back also because the switch is to kill car not battery,so if alt.still in system even if you take battery out and throw it away while car is running it will stay running,
also be aware that the y type belt are not legal anymore. the belts should be bolted on the tab [that should be on roll bar] not wrapped around spine bar as they can slide in an accident[unlees some type of retaining stop is there ,but best to be bolted on the mounting tab] last but not least get a rule book[ its always better to get it from the horses mouth] for the type of tracks near youIHRA/NHRA  bob
